The 2010 Census Special Tabulation is based on the Census Bureau’s 2010 Decennial Census. Twelve tables provide data on age, sex, race/ethnicity, household type and relationship, and type of group quarters, with particular emphasis on the 60 and older population. For the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, data are available by county or county-equivalent, county subdivision, census tract, and ACL’s planning and service area (PSA). Additionally, age group data for the population 60 and older are tabulated by Zip Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA). These state tables include Rural/Urban components for most available geographies. A subset of eleven tables is provided separately for all American Indian, Alaska Native, and Hawaiian Home Land areas within the U.S., including the twelve Alaska Native Regional Corporation areas; ZCTA-level data and urban/rural breakouts are not included in these tabulations. PSAs reported in the Decennial Special Tabulations use the geographic definitions current at the time of the 2010 Census.
